Sustainable steps for the improvement and greening of Dushanbe

In order to further beautify streets, squares and alleys of the territory of cities and microdistricts and parks in 2017-2020, according to the relevant decisions of the Mayor of Dushanbe, 600.5 thousand bushes, 50 million seasonal flowers, perennial plants were planted in the capital and 1.5 million square meters of lawns and meadows were created.

Due to the growth of the ecosystem of the capital and in order to increase the number of rare tree species, 25,887 ornamental, shady and shrubby trees were brought from abroad, which were planted under the guidance of specialists and are growing well today.

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the involvement of entrepreneurs and relevant authorities, 68 parks and squares were built and reconstructed during this period, including 17 parks of culture and recreation in Dushanbe.

Today we can say with confidence that alleys, gardens and cultural parks have become a place of recreation and walks for guests and residents of the capital, highlighting the proposal of the Mayor of Dushanbe, turning the capital into a flower city will radically change its real appearance and the environmental situation in Dushanbe will become even better.
