The implementation of a Comprehensive state program for the development of education and environmental awareness of the population is in the focus of attention of the participants of the training workshop in Dushanbe

On November 1-2 of this year, at the Serena Hotel in Dushanbe, at the initiative of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the financial support of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and with the participation of experts of the Committee on Environmental Protection, teachers of secondary schools in Dushanbe, representatives of the OSCE Office in Dushanbe and the Aarhus Centers, a training workshop "Information on ways to implement a comprehensive state program for the development of Environmental Education of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025" was held.

Experts Oikhon Sharipova and Sulhiya Sadykova made introductory speeches at the workshop on the topic "The essence of the comprehensive state program for the development of environmental education of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025" to solve environmental problems, "Goals and objectives of the Program", "Experience of developed countries in environmental education". According to Tajik experts, the program introduced a number of new terms and issues, such as climate change, sustainable development, green economy and emergencies.

After the presentations, the participants exchanged views on the implementation of the program. For a better understanding of the topic, a group game was organized among the participants of the workshop. On the second day of the workshop, representatives of the Education Department of Dushanbe, the Dushanbe Aarhus Center, teachers of universities and secondary schools of the capital expressed their opinions on various aspects of the Program.

According to the participants, the points of the Program will be implemented only in the case of close cooperation of state bodies, public associations, the media and civil society as a whole.
