“Clean Coast” campaign in Tursunzade city

As part of the events dedicated to the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028" and the 30th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, a number of environmental activities are being held in the city of Tursunzade.

This week, with the participation of employees of the Environmental Protection Department in Tursunzade, with the involvement of students of secondary school No. 12 and active youth of the village of Karatog, a "Clean Coast" campaign was held in order to clean the shores of the river.

At first, the specialists of the Environmental Protection Department of the city conducted explanatory work among young people on environmental protection and promotion of environmental cleanup measures in order to increase the level of environmental education of the population.

Then nature lovers collected household and plastic waste on the shore of the Karatag River, on the territory of the village of Karatag.

Such events contribute to the cleanliness of the coast and water, increase the level of environmental education of the population.
