With the participation of the Committee Chairman 200 pine seedlings were planted in the Youth Park of the capital

On the initiative of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan together with UN Resident Coordinator in Tajikistan within the United Nations Day (October 24, 1948) in Dushanbe city was conducted a planting campaign in the Youth Park of the capital on October 25.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Sheralizoda B.A., Deputy Chairman of Dushanbe Odinozoda D., UN Resident Representative in Tajikistan Ms. Sinanoglu, Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Mr. Lyakin-Frolov, British Ambassador to Tajikistan Mr. Marshall Jones and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Tajikistan Mr. Protman.

The Chairman of the Committee Mr. Sheralizoda B.A. noted before the event that the initiative of Dushanbe Mayor Mr. Rustam Emomali to turn Dushanbe into a green city deserves all-round support, as the issues of prevention of harsh consequences of climate change and environmental protection are in the focus of attention of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.   The Chairman of the Committee urged all participants to contribute to improving the environment.

Then, 200 pine seedlings were planted in the Youth Park of Dushanbe city as part of the event with the participation of representatives of the above-mentioned organizations.
