CEP side event at the 26th Conference of the Parties

As part of the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, November 1-12 in Glasgow, Scotland, a side event was held to present the proposed contribution of the NDC. The new version of the NDC was developed in October this year by the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan with the support of development partners, which is presented to the Convention Secretariat.

The event was attended by representatives of international financial institutions, including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Green Climate Fund, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), development partners, international and regional organizations, as well as representatives from Central Asia. Asian environmental authorities participated in online and offline format.

The event was opened by the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection, with the participation of the Director of the Green Climate Fund and the Program Director of the NDC Secretariat.

A representative of the Committee for Environmental Protection, representatives of the NDC Secretariat and the Asian Development Bank made speeches on this issue at the event.

In the process of discussing the issue, the document was highly appreciated. The participants also made specific proposals for the implementation of this document.
