The 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change officially began its work in Glasgow
The 26th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change officially opened in Glasgow, UK, on November 1. During the negotiations in Glasgow, countries will discuss the implementation of key provisions of the Paris Agreements, as well as new initiatives of countries to reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.
Also, on this day, the official opening ceremony of the Pavilion of the Central Asian countries was held under the slogan "5 countries, 1 region, 1 vote." Various events (side events), bilateral and multilateral meetings are planned for this pavilion.
The Republic of Tajikistan during COP26, which will be held from November 1 to 12, is represented by an official delegation. A number of events are planned with the participation of representatives of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Agency for Hydrometeorology, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources and other relevant structures.
