Training on the topic of the use of smart patrol systems for monitoring and observations wildlife

On August 24, training on the topic of the use of the SMART patrol mobile application with the participation of 20 specialists of the Committee for Environmental Protection, the National Academy of Sciences, State institution of specially protected natural areas, and subordinate Centers of the Committee was conducted in accordance with the instructions of the Chairman of the Committee and the work plan of the National Center for Action on Environmental Protection, in collaboration with the National Biodiversity and Biosafety Center. The International Consultant  Karnukhov Alexander, from the Wildlife Foundation, facilitated a training seminar on methods and principles for using the Mobile Patrol Application for Monitoring Nature and Wild Animal counting, as well as methods for installing and using camera traps and using data to compile monitoring reports.

Also, on August 25 and 26, training with the participation of 40 employees and rangers of National Parks Sangvor and Lyahsh, on the topic of use of the Mobile Application of Smart Patrol Intelligent Monitoring were conducted in Sangvor and Lyahsh districts.

At the training, participants learned how to install a mobile application for intelligent patrols to their mobile phones, how to use it, tracking and report the number of wild animals, how to find monitoring data from the database, the methods of applying data to the map and use data from camera traps.
