At the regular weekly meeting of the Chairman of the Committee

On August 23, a regular weekly meeting of the Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held, at which the results of the third week of August and tasks for summing up the month of August were summarized.

In accordance with the order of the meeting, A. Eshonov, Chief Specialist of the Department for Monitoring and Environmental Policy of the Committee, made a report on the issues on the agenda for the week of August 16-20, 2021. In his report, it was noted that last week the Committee and its subdivisions in cities and districts of the republic carried out 426 control checks and operations. Appropriate measures were taken in relation to more than 300 individuals and legal entities for non-compliance with environmental norms and violations in the field of environmental protection. Also, departments and sectors of environmental protection of cities and districts with insufficient activities and indicators of sectoral directions were voiced in the report.

Also, in the presence of Chairman of the Committee Sheralizoda Bahodur Ahmadjon the heads of departments of state control, projects under implementation, research centers of the Central Office, the Agency of Meteorology and SE "Specially Protected Natural Areas" reported on their activities.

Mr. B.A. Sheralizoda, Chairman of the Committee, inquired about the progress in preparation for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

At the same time, proposals and suggestions on the implementation of activities of subdivisions and on all current issues were heard. Taking into account these instructions, relevant decisions were made.
