“Clean Area” and “Clean Coast” campaigns in Sughd region

As part of the Action Plan to prepare for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, various public environmental campaigns are continuing in all cities and districts of the Sughd region.

At the initiative of the Department of Environmental Protection of the region, more than 23 thousand employees of labor collectives, enterprises, organizations, institutions, farms and residents actively participated in the “Clean Area” and “Clean Coast” campaigns, organized and held on the territory of the region. During the campaign, work was carried out on cleaning the roads, drainage networks - 25.3 km, cleaning roads from waste - 53.7 km, repairing roads - 3 km, cleaning channels - 300 m, whitewashing 1236 tree trunks, cleaning areas - 4 km and 126.4 cubic meters of waste were taken to official landfills.

Environmental campaigns will continue on the territory of the region until the national holiday is held in the region.
