- Implementation of a unified policy in the field of state supervision over the use and protection of atmospheric air in the country.
- Participation in the development and introduction of bills and other regulatory legal acts;
- Develop and submit annual, semi-annual, and quarterly work plans to the Chairman of the Committee for approval in accordance with the established procedure;
- Preparation and presentation of information and reports to the management of the Committee;
- The organization of workflow, paperwork, as well as the issuance of instructions from the management of the Committee to the employees of the division and control over their implementation in accordance with the established procedure;
- Exercise of state supervision over compliance with the requirements of legislation in the field of environmental protection, including the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On environmental protection", "On the protection of atmospheric air", "On ensuring the environmental safety of vehicles" and other relevant regulatory legal acts by economic entities whose activities are related to the discharge of pollutants into the atmospheric air, regardless of their form of incorporation and subordination, as well as individuals.
- Regulation of the rational use and protection of atmospheric air in organizations, institutions, enterprises, regardless of their form of incorporation, located on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan.
