The main task: The Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan conducts climatic and environmental observations and, based on the data obtained, prepares data on the weather forecast, high water of the republican rivers, warnings of natural disasters (mudflows, avalanches, precipitation, hail, wind and floods) and presents them to the public. Information on the meteorological regime and the degree of environmental pollution will be provided for taking measures in various spheres of the republic's economy, such as water management, energy, air and land transport, environmental protection and agriculture.
