National workshop-consultation on the mechanisms of green financing of the Paris Agreement                                           

On June 23, 2022, a national consultation workshop on green financing mechanisms of the Paris Agreement was held at the Rumi Hotel in Dushanbe. The purpose of the workshop is political action on climate security in Central Asia, Phase II.

Such topics as "Tajikistan's participation in the global climate agenda", "International conventions and promotion of climate initiatives in various sectors of the Tajik economy", "Involvement of the private sector in promoting "green" financing in Tajikistan", "Consideration of environmental factors in the implementation of investment projects", "Private sector opportunities to benefit from "green" financing", "Successful experience in implementing green technologies in practice", "Which technologies are in the greatest demand on the market" and other issues, related to these topics were touched upon and considered at the workshop.

The organizers of the national consultative workshop are the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development and the United Nations Development Program.
