The results of activities for the protection of fish stocks during the spawning period in the Sughd region have been summed up                                              

By Order of the Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated 03/30/2022, No. 38 "On the protection of fish resources during the spawning period of 2022", fishing was prohibited from April 1 to June 15 of this year.

The headquarters and responsible employees of the Main Department for Environmental Protection in the region, as well as subordinate sectors in cities and districts, in order to implement this order of the Chairman of the Committee and the order of the Head of the Main Department for Environmental Protection of the region dated 01.04.2022, No. 22 "On measures to preserve fish resources during the spawning period of 2022" during this period were appropriate measures have been taken.

In order to implement the Plan of joint measures for the protection of fish resources, various control operations were carried out 256 times in the reservoirs of the region.

As a result, 250 inspection reports and 63 protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up, as well as 9 materials on illegal fishing during the spawning period were transferred to the regional prosecutor's office to initiate criminal proceedings.

At the same time, 12 ichthyological conclusions on illegal fishing were issued. Institutions, organizations, departments and service points for the preparation of fish were issued a total of 31 instructions, and propaganda meetings with the population were held 27 times.

During this period, 6 rubber boats were confiscated from citizens who violated the law, and 362 fishing nets were destroyed by burning.

In this direction, state control over the use and conservation of fish resources is regularly carried out in accordance with the work plan.
