Summing up the results of the activities of the Department of Environmental Protection of the City of Dushanbe

In the conference hall of the Department of Environmental Protection of the city of Dushanbe, the final meeting of the Department for the first quarter of 2021 was held, with the participation of Abdukodirkhon Mavlodod, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

At the beginning, Abdusalim Kurbanov, Deputy Head of the Department of Environmental Protection of the city of Dushanbe, informed the audience about the results of activities and progress achieved during this period.

In particular, in order to improve the environmental situation and implement the order of the Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan “On holding the campaign “Clean Area-2021”” in the territory of settlements and mahallas of the capital during this period, 5 campaigns “Clean Area” were held, as a result of which 11,332 people went on clean-up days with the involvement of 40 pieces of equipment and 87.8 m3 of waste was taken to the city landfill.

For the purpose of landscaping and greening, a high-level seedling planting campaign was undertaken, taking into account the requirements of agricultural technology and from the districts of Dushanbe, it is planned to plant 150,000 seedlings of ornamental, shady, fruit and shrubs, so far 211668 tree seedlings have been planted, which make up 141.1% of the expected plan. 47396 m2 of lawn and 8846570 flowers were also planted.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, A. K. Mavlodod, in order to properly celebrate the national holiday, the 30th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and conduct international events, instructed the responsible persons to improve and establish creative activities for prosperity, promote green works, plant flowers and increase the level of environmental education of the population.
