At the initiative of Penjikent’s environmental protection sector, a Clean Places campaign was held in the city’s mahallas. The aim of this action was to clean up garbage and dry leaves of trees, which is also important for the prevention of COVID-19, protection of public health and environmental safety of the city.
More than 500 residents of urban and rural jamoats took part in the action. They were mainly engaged in cleaning the yards of multi-storey houses and streets, including more than 5.5 km of ditches were cleaned from solid domestic waste. Housing and communal services workers took more than 30 cubic meters of garbage to the city dump.
